Born in Tokyo. Currently residing in Ushiku City, Ibaraki Prefecture, only 170 kilometers from the Fukushima nuclear power plant where the accident occurred. A member of the Japan Society of Contemporary Poets, a permanent member of the International Association of Writers and Artists, the World Poets Conference, and the World Academy of Arts, and a member of the Global Peace Ambassador Movement Group. Recipient of an Honorary Doctorate of Literature from the World Academy of Arts, the Laureate Poet of the World Federation of Poets (Korea), and numerous other international literary awards. Following the Fukushima nuclear disaster, her bilingual (Japanese and English) Japanese documentary poetry collection, *Cherry Blossoms, Cherry Blossoms*, was selected as the International Association of Writers and Artists' Best Poetry Collection of 2013.
He formerly served as Chairman of the National Cultural and Arts Foundation and is currently the Vice President of the World Poets Movement. He has received more than ten major awards both domestically and internationally, including the Taiwan National Literary Award, the Lai He Literary Award, the Executive Yuan Cultural Award, the Wu San-lien Literary Award, the Trier Gold Medal and the Golden Banner Award in Peru, the India First Outstanding Poet Award, and the Literary Translation Award from the Montenegrin Translation Association. He has published several collections of poetry, including six volumes of *Li Kuixian's Collected Poems*, ten volumes of *Li Kuixian's Collected Writings*, eight volumes of *Li Kuixian's Translated Poems*, forty-six volumes of *Celebrity Poetry Series*, the memoirs *Life's Puzzle*, and *My New Century Poetic Journey*.
